Friends,
This past Sunday, we looked at the story of the Emmaus disciples in Luke 24 and discovered an important truth: it is possible to know the Bible and still miss what the Bible is ultimately about.
......
But when Jesus is at the center, Scripture becomes life-giving. The Bible is no longer primarily a book about our performance; it is the story of God's rescue through His Son. Every page points us to our need for Jesus and God's provision in Jesus.
This week, before asking, "What must I do?" try asking, "How does this passage show me my need for Jesus?" and "What has God provided for me through Christ?"
The goal of reading Scripture is not merely to know the Bible better. It is to know and enjoy Jesus more deeply.
