I hope you're having a great week. As I look back on this past Sunday, I'm thankful for the opportunity we have each week to gather as God's people—to worship together, open His Word, and encourage one another. I also want to help us carry Sunday's encouragement into the week ahead as we prepare for what God has in store for our church.
This past Sunday, we had the privilege of welcoming Kevin and Jena Smith from EPC World Outreach. They shared about the work God is doing in the Middle East and gave us a glimpse of how the gospel is changing lives in places where following Jesus often comes at a significant cost. Even access to clean bathrooms is at a premium…
Their stories reminded us that borders or cultures do not limit God's mission. He is faithfully building His Church around the world, and He invites ordinary people to join Him in that work. While most of us won't serve in the Middle East, all of us have been sent to the places where we live, work, and play. In other words, we too have a mission field that we are responsible for right here.
Please continue praying for Kevin and Jena, for the people they serve, and for the many faithful men and women proclaiming Christ throughout the world.
Looking Ahead
This Sunday we'll begin a new church-wide series called BLESS.
Over the next five weeks, we'll explore five simple practices that help us become more intentional about loving our neighbors and pointing them to Jesus. The goal isn't to add another program to your calendar. It's to help us see that God has already placed us in relationships where He wants to work.
Together we'll learn to:
Begin with Prayer
Listen with Care
Eat Together
Serve with Love
Share Your Story
My hope is that this series will help us become the kind of church that lives on mission every day, so that every man, woman, and child in Diamondhead has a repeated opportunity to see, hear, and respond to the gospel.
As we begin this journey together, I'd like to ask each of us to do one simple thing.
Take a few minutes this week and prayerfully write down the names of five people that you long to see God move in their lives. They may be neighbors, family members, coworkers, classmates, or friends who don't yet know Christ or who need to experience His grace in a fresh way.
These aren't projects to complete—they're people God loves. Throughout this series, we'll be praying for them together and asking God to open doors for gospel conversations, meaningful relationships, and opportunities to serve.
Diamondhead boasts of hosting more than 10,000 residents. I am asking you to commit to praying for 5.

My highest aim is to give every man, woman, and child a repeated opportunity to see, hear, and respond to the gospel. This is the first and last thing that goes through my head every day. But a goal like this requires more than one man and one church. You are a significant piece to this vision. Are you with me?
Bring these names with you on Sunday as we begin praying together that God would use each of us to faithfully love the people He has already placed in our lives.
